About this list
More clubs open on Saturday than on any other day. In Paris the morning is for young players: children's lessons at Le Petit Pouchet, courses at Royal Rouvier Chess Club and Palamède Echecs, the youth club of Carré Magique, the pupils of M Échecs, a session on rue Pérée for L'Échiquier de Paris. In the afternoon club play takes over at Tour Blanche Echecs, J.E.E.N., Echecs 16 on avenue Bugeaud and Le Cavalier de Neuilly on avenue Daumesnil.
In the suburbs Saturday is often a whole club day. Culture-Echecs in Suresnes plays in two blocks, TAC Échecs in Tremblay-en-France from morning to evening, Châtillon moves from a beginners' course to free play, Issy-les-Moulineaux meets at the MJC Espace Icare, and La Courneuve uses the John Lennon médiathèque. Rosny-sous-Bois, Drancy, Le Perreux-sur-Marne and Le Kremlin-Bicêtre stay open into the evening.
