Fewer clubs meet on Thursday, and the ones that do tend to play late. A.S.C.E.-S.E. Paris Est opens its hall in the railway works council by the Gare de l'Est until ten, and Club 608 d'Echecs de Paris holds a weekly course on rue de Vaugirard for improving players. In Asnières-sur-Seine Le Grand Echiquier runs a permanent tournament on Thursday evenings.

Elsewhere in Hauts-de-Seine, the Rueil-Malmaison club keeps its room open from mid-afternoon to late evening outside course days, Les Dames de Robinson play in Le Plessis-Robinson, Le Cavalier Rouge has its club day in Clamart, and Clichy and Colombes open in the afternoon. In Val-de-Marne, La Dame de Sucy meets at the Anim'Action des Noyers, and the school chess club in Bry-sur-Marne meets for an hour from five.
